Fly fishing is one of the most relaxing and cathartic activities I enjoy—the cool lapping river, the natural scenery, the rhythmic motion of casting, the thrill of a catch. These are the ingredients of peace in this world.
The Chinese traditionally string pearls on silk thread because it is flexible and strong. I string my stones on green 30lb test, big game, fly fishing line for the same reason. The fishing line is as strong as iron and as delicate as silk, providing flexibility and durability at the same time. This beautiful green line is strung through each red coral bead 8 times and knotted between each stone, providing timeless style and durability meant to last for generations. I finish my strands on one end with a beautiful Swarovski crystal party bead. The other end is finished with a delicate loop of silver crystals designed to allow the party bead to comfortably slide in and out of the silver loop like a button in an eyelet. The entire strand measures around 34” long and can be worn as a bracelet or a necklace.
